In what he remembers his childhood friend calling "the glitch in the Matrix," Francis grew up amongst identical rows of houses and streetlights and manicured lawns all set against the rugged mountains of the Sonoran Desert. He attended the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in English and Studio Art Printmaking. HIs bold and versatile graphic style finds influences from film and television, German Expressionist prints, and sacred art, to name a few. Since moving in 2023, he has traded in the heat of the Southwest, laying down new roots in the icy northern city of St. Paul, Minnesota. This once unfamiliar home is growing on him, where he can enjoy being outside all year, snow or shine, with his wife, Lucy, their two children, Mira and Gabriel, and dog, Moscow.
